About the Author
Nancy Rue is the author of more than one hundred books for adults and teens, including the Christy Award-winning The Reluctant Prophet, Unexpected Dismounts and Healing Waters (with Steve Arterburn), which was the 2009 Women of Faith Novel of the Year. She travels extensively—at times on the back of a Harley—speaking to and teaching groups of women of all ages. Nancy lives on a lake in Tennessee with her Harley-ridin’ husband, Jim, and their two yellow Labs (without whom writing would be difficult).

This book just became my all-time most favorite!

Allison has gone quite a few miles with God. She's got two houses full of former prostitutes, a boutique for them to work in, and an orphan she's adopted. But God's not done with her yet. When He says "Go another mile" she goes. But it's not easy. There's a cost to following God with your whole heart. Those who seek after evil are opposed to everything she does and will stop at nothing to see her destroyed.
I've always been a voracious reader and never been able to declare a favorite. Until now. I relate so well to the character and her heart for the lost but her desire to say "that's enough" or "this is as far as I go". But God didn't set limits on how far our love should go. He just keeps saying to go another mile.
As with all her books, Too Far To Say Far Enough is extremely well written. It holds adventure, romance, joy, sorrow and hope. It challenges you, delights you, encourages you and makes you want to go the extra mile. I HIGHLY recommend this book! If you buy 1 book a year, let this be this one!

A satisfying conclusion to a soul-stirring series

Too Far to Say Far Enough is a satisfying conclusion to what has been an entertaining and soul stirring series. Allison Chamberlain is a character who will long live on in my mind, a Harley-riding prophet who develops into a woman not to be trifled with! Her heart for justice and her capacity for love as she connects with former prostitutes and abused runaways are definitely things to admire. I loved the new characters introduced in this book, and celebrated along with the characters as I witnessed adoptions and victories over evil and watched a romance come full circle. Nancy Rue has managed to successfully combine an action-packed contemporary drama with a message that will long stay with me, a challenge to get out of my comfort zone and put faith into action caring for the orphans and widows of the world, the lost souls who have no one else who will care for them, the abused and marginalized.
Readers who have followed Allison through the first two books in the series are going to greatly enjoy meeting up with her in the final book, and the conclusion is wonderfully satisfying while leaving much to the imagination about how the future will ultimately play out for Allison and her son Desmond and Chief and all the rest of the characters. I highly recommend both this book and the entire series and award it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Definitely a book club choice

This is the third in The Reluctant Prophet series, and makes me want to go back and re-read the first two. Allison has more courage than I do, but made me realize, again, that God never asks us to do anything that He won't give us what we need to do it. Most of us won't ride Harleys and take prostitutes into our homes as Allison did, but you can't read these three books without wondering if you are doing enough for God. Nancy Rue is an incredible author and it is very obvious that she did her homework on this series. A friend of mine insists that Nancy IS Allison, that she actually did all those things. Very good author!
Allison is far from perfect, and more than once wants to call it quits. "Please God, haven't I done enough?' Don't we all ask that from time to time? If I were in a book club, I would highly recommend this series. Very thought provoking, and once you start reading, almost impossible to put down. There are several chapters that will definitely get your heart pumping! This third in the series brings a satisfying conclusion to the series, but I can't help but wish there was at least one more. I'll miss Allison.
