A must-have book for your architectural office!

Mel Green's historic building code book will be well used in our office. My firm does primarily historic preservation projects and I can't think of a better resource for our library. I would recommend this book to any architect or planner who works on existing or historic buildings.

The author really did his homework.

The author really did his homework. This is a textbook that really goes in depth to explain the different scenarios for historic preservation. A lot of thought and heart has gone into preserving buidings, and the wisdom of this enterprise is perfectly distilled in these chapters. I count it as an extremely valuable reference and a guide for me, a beginner in the serious inquiry about preservation methods.
