Tarek Malouf was born in London and studied at London and Los Angeles universities, where he discovered American desserts. After working for ABC News in the UK and enjoying American cakes on trips to the USA, he decided to set up The Hummingbird Bakery on Portobello Road. The Bakery's home-cooked cupcakes, pies, brownies and other high-quality American desserts were a huge success and the Bakery now has branches in South Kensington, Islington and Soho plus a mobile bakery that tours festivals and events around the UK. When you buy any of Hummingbird Bakery books you won't have the stress of going through all baking process all alone because when you buy the book you will automatically get a new friend that will introduce you to new recipes and guide you step by step through them, till the delicious end! Tarek Malouf and his staff once again explains in details the recipes that made Hummingbird Bakery a reference point in baking, guiding you safely all the way with clear explanations and valuable tips. I bought the kindle version of Home Sweet Home and I am trilled! Wonderful new recipes, sweet and salty! Can't wait to try the Creme Brulee cupcakes recipe! Great book!

Great Recipes

I love this book! It has a wide variety of recipes and they are extremely easy to follow. The cupcake recipes don't follow the traditional order but they will turn out great if you follow the instructions provided in the book. The book also offers great baking tips which are very helpful. I would definitely recommend this book.
